Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon

Updated: Sep 5, 2018

Salmon has got to be my all time favorite healthy meal. However in my experience, salmon can either be a winning or losing menu item. Between it's fishy taste, and all the challenges that come with not drying it out, it is definitely an item which most people will leave for the restaurants. Fear no more friends, this is the easiest and tastiest salmon recipe you will taste.

Not only is this recipe delicious, it's low carb, gluten free, dairy free and high in protein, not to mention, it's loaded with omega fatty acids and healthy fats. Salmon is one of the best sources of the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. EPA and DHA have been credited with several health benefits, such as decreasing inflammation, lowering blood pressure, reducing the risk of cancer and improving the function of the cells that line your arteries. As for how much fish to eat, consuming at least two servings of salmon per week can help meet your omega-3 fatty acid needs.

If you aren't following a low carb diet, I recommend swapping out thee sugar free sweetener for maple syrup and enjoy your salmon with a maple glaze.

Bonus: This sauce also tastes amazing on pork or for a vegetarian option, try it on egg plant.

Don't just take my word for it. Back when my family was catering, this salmon recipe won the title as best salmon at the "Official Salmon Off" between myself and Calgary Private Chef. Now it's time I share it with you!

Cheerfully,
